Come to the Co-op Laity Gathering!

Join us from 1:30-3:30 pm on October 23rd for a Charge Conference Co-op Laity Gathering with our District Superintendent, Rev Kathleen Weber. There will also be pies!

First Olympia is hosting the event in our Narthex, with a presentation from DS Rev Kathleen Weber regarding conference and cabinet business, as well as a video from the Bishop regarding her retirement. There will also be seating available on the portico (as weather allowed) for those wanting an outdoor option for the eating portion of the event. 

Charge conferences are annual gatherings of all members of a ‘charge’ - the community to which a pastor is assigned. Your pastors are assigned to the South Sound United Methodist Cooperative, so we will be gathering with all of the churches in our charge: Tumwater, Shelton, Lacey: St. Andrews, and First Olympia. Each church will have their own business meeting separately, but this gathering will be to celebrate the Ministry our charge and our conference has done in the last year, with pie!
