Baptisms and New Members

Last week, in the Courier, we celebrated all of the children who were baptized, inviting you all to write them cards, and offer words of encouragement to them.

This week, we lift up all of the adults who were baptized on Sunday, and offer them to your love and care, too. One of our core commitments as United Methodists is that Baptism is something that 'Lasts,' something that doesn't need re-doing; God's grace is irrevocable. And, when we are young, sometimes baptism is something others choose for us, and we 'confirm' our faith as we grow up. Adults who are baptized, however, decide to enter into that commitment, accepting God's grace for themselves, and that is a decision that is beautiful to witness, and joyful to walk alongside. I hope you'll continue celebrating these folks who have entered into our care, and embraced our shared faith:
