"What can I give back to the Lord for all of the good things God has done for me?"
Psalm 116:12
This congregation is so generous. Every time I turn around, there is another expression of heartfelt generosity from the UWIF spending hours hosting a rummage sale so they can give the money to non-profits in the community to the abundant response to the request to stock the Little Free Pantry. The generosity of this congregation is a reflection of the generosity God has with us. Forgiveness, grace, mercy, love, justice? All offered to us freely, without cost. Our giving is just one way that we acknowledge everything that God has done for us. It can be easy to take stock of generosity around special "asks" like supplies for the Little Free Pantry or donations after a natural disaster. But the truth is, this congregation is generous and faithful on ordinary days too. Each dollar, check, money transfer, or sale of stock given to the church makes our daily ministry possible. You keep the lights on, pay the staff, maintain the building, and make it possible for us to be in relationship with our community. Thank you!
You might notice that our giving took a dip in April. Church giving is often cyclical. The beginning and the end of the years are when we see higher giving. But our bills remain pretty steady throughout the year. Thank you for your faithful giving! You are a true reflection of God's generosity. And, if you have a little extra you might put in the offering plate, you will help us stay financially stable through the spring and summer.
