A Letter from Madison Elementary
On Sunday, Pastor Heather shared a heartwarming message we received from the Washington Reading Corps (WRC) member at Madison Elementary School. If you missed it, here is is for you to read yourself:
"Dear Pastor Heather and Members of FUMCO,
Earlier this week, one of the students who works with Jordan, our WRC member, said to her, "You know what? Since doing this class, I realized I'm actually good at reading."
This comment brought tears to my eyes and made me think again how grateful I am for the support that you provided, which allowed us to continue having a WRC member at Madison. Because of you, an additional 20 students are receiving daily small group support in reading. And, because of you, this student, and probably many more, now see themselves as readers." — Lisa Escourt
