A Lenten Study with Pastor Heather

Questions are at the heart of our faith.  We might have been taught that questioning God means that we are not faithful. But what if Scripture teaches us exactly the opposite? Scripture is full of questions that call us to explore our faith and to form a relationship with God grounded in honesty and vulnerability. 

Throughout the Lenten season, we will be asking questions found in Scripture and allowing the Spirit to guide us through an honest exploration of our faith.  Through our worship series, Ask, we will join with people from Scripture in asking big questions, little questions, pesky questions, and life-altering questions. I encourage you to join us each Sunday beginning February 26 for this series. 

I also invite you to join me Thursday mornings in person or via Zoom to continue the conversation through a Bible Study based on the Daily Devotional Guide that accompanies the worship series. We will read Scripture together, ask good questions, and carry on the conversation beyond Sunday morning.  

Even if you can’t make it Thursday mornings, the Daily Devotional Guide is a free resource available to anyone and in it readers will encounter questions designed to help them learn, meditate, and pray.

Pastor Heather’s Lenten Bible Study will be Thursdays from 9:30-11:00 am beginning February 23 and meeting for six weeks ending on March 30. We will meet in person in the Gathering Place or via Zoom. Email Pastor Heather to sign up.
