Activities After Worship This Sunday
| We have TWO opportunities for fellowship and learning after worship this Sunday, June 23. The first is Lunch with the Pastor. If you are interested in church membership, want to know more about FUMCO or the United Methodist Church, or just want to have lunch with one of your pastors, join us next week after worship. Please RSVP with Pastor Heather (pastorheather@fumcoly.org) and we hope to see you Sunday. Or join us for a screening of the documentary, 1946: The Mistranslation that Shifted Culture (2022). This is film follows the story of tireless researchers who trace the origins of the anti-gay movement among Christians to a grave mistranslation of the Bible in 1946. It chronicles the discovery of never-before-seen archives at Yale University which unveil astonishing new revelations, and casts significant doubt on any biblical basis for LGBTQIA+ prejudice. If you're interested in watching this movie, grab a plate of food from Lunch With the Pastor and take it to the Gathering Place at 11:30.
