Merry Christmas From Your Pastors

“And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory.” John 1:14a

As we’ve spent the Advent season dwelling in the presence of Mary and Jesus this season, we hope you have experienced nurture and care from God and from one another. The story of Jesus invites tenderness, ease, responsibility and love for our neighbors, mutual love, justice and joy. It is a story of nurture, an invitation to being formed as children of God, being brought up, raised into equipped and empowered disciples of Christ, transforming the world with God’s nurture through our hands and feet.

It has been such a joy to see God’s caregiving love enacted through the photos you’ve submitted, and through the ministries of the church. Every card sent, community event held, child embraced, youth celebrated, gift donated, bedside visited, laugh enjoyed, protest attended, and meal shared is an inbreaking of the Kingdom of God, a sign that God dwells in your heart and is at work in the world - thanks be to God! It is an honor to serve as your pastoral team, and to humbly witness your reflection of Christ’s love.

Whatever this holiday season has to offer you, whether it be solitude or an abundance of company, we pray that you notice Jesus who is God With Us. We see God in you each and every day, and are lifting prayers of gratitude for each one of you as we celebrate the birth of our savior.

Merry Christmas!
