Sunday Worship In-person and Streamed Online at 10am

Anti-Racist Film Club - December

Happy Holidays! This merry season, ARFC will be screening the musical-comedy Sister Act (1992).

Deloris Van Cartier is a lounge singer in Reno Nevada... until she witnesses her boyfriend murder someone. Running from the mob, Deloris is placed into witness protection by police at a convent in San Francisco. Living undercover as "Sister Mary Clarence," Deloris pretends to be a nun and struggles to follow the strict lifestyle that they adhere to. But when the Reverend Mother assigns her to help with the flailing church choir, Deloris brings her background in entertainment to revitalize the church. But can she continue to bring attention to the convent while still keeping her cover? Click here to watch a full trailer.

We'll be showing the movie upstairs at First Olympia UMC in The Gathering Place THIS Sunday, December 7th @12:30pm. There will be a light lunch provided before/during the screening.

The discussion will be held the next day Monday, December 8th at 7pm in a hybrid-style. This means you’re welcome to join us in-person at First Olympia UMC or on our normal Zoom link. However you’d prefer to connect, we hope to have you there!
If you're interested in either the screening and/or the discussion, please RSVP here:
