It's spooky season once again and our film selection for Anti-Racist Film Club this month is Nope (2022)!

In thrilling third installment of our dive into the work of Jordan Peele, this month, we're watching his acclaimed sci-fi horror western, Nope (2022). After their father’s mysterious death, siblings OJ and Emerald Haywood struggle to keep the family horse-ranch up and running as animal wranglers for Hollywood productions. However, it soon becomes clear that there’s something amiss in the skies when OJ encounters a UFO above the ranch. Together, he, Emerald, and the tech guy who helped them up up the cameras attempt to capture the alien on film and sell the images for fame and fortune.

We'll be showing the movie at First Olympia UMC in Room #222 on Sunday 10/13 @12:30. There will be a light lunch provided before/during the screening. There will also be popcorn! Our discussion will be held the next day on Monday, 10/14 @7pm over Zoom.
