Green Bag Saturday Results!
Dear FUMCO Family,
Thank you for choosing to make a difference for so many families in Thurston County this year. This was the Thurston County Food Projects biggest year yet! For 2022 we have collectively raised over $100,000 in food and monetary donations for our local Food Bank.
Thurston County Food Project began in our county about 12 years ago. On the second Saturday of the even months representatives have collected green bags of food from door steps. Our church got involved in April of 2016 with Green Bag Saturday. During the pandemic it changed to Brown Bag Saturday and now to Green Bag Saturday. The Food Project is very grateful for FUMCO's generous donations.
