Sunday Worship In-person and Streamed Online at 10am

Music at First Olympia

Make a Joyful Noise!

Music is still a key component of our Sunday worship experience. Our in person and online services include live music (solo masked singer or instrumental pieces from our praise band or on the church organ) as well as pre-recorded pieces from one of our choirs!
Chancel Choir:
The Chancel Choir sings in the 10 o’clock Sunday service twice a month, on the 2nd and 4th Sundays. We sing mostly traditional music, with various styles from classical to hymn arrangements to the music of current choral composers. Our members encompass all skill levels and ages, and we embrace the diversity that each singer brings to the group.

Rehearsals take place on Thursday evenings from 6:45 to 7:45 pm. Led by Cathy Bennett. For more information, contact Cathy at choirwriter.comcast.net.
The Jeffords Memorial Handbell Choir:
Is open to anyone who wants to praise God through the joy of handbell music. The choir meets regularly for rehearsal and the choir shares their music with the worshipping community of First Olympia on a monthly basis. The bell choir is a welcoming, friendly, supportive group who is open to all including those without prior experience.

We rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 pm-6:30 pm at the church. For more information contact Leah Wilson at lwilson372@aol.com
