Consider Becoming An Interfaith Works Shelter Volunteer

Hundreds and hundreds of our unhoused neighbors have sought and received shelter at Sergio’s on Martin Way during the last six months. This is a place where everyone is treated with respect, can expect to be heard often by kind folks who have tread a similar path, can get a meal, shower, do their laundry and even sleep out of the elements during temperature extremes. While Sergio’s is managed by paid Interfaith Works staff, volunteers are particularly needed when it is extra hot and cold outside.

Volunteer training is offered every second Saturday of each month from 10am until 1:00pm at the Interfaith Works Admin offices downstairs at the United Churches, 110 11th Avenue in Olympia. Register in advance at: https://www.interfaith-works.org.
