Learn More About The Historic Trees Along Legion Way
Madison Elementary will be hosting an event on Saturday, November 8th called, “Preserving a Living Memorial to Our Veterans,” about the oak trees that were planted along Legion Way in 1928 to honor the soldiers lost in the Spanish-American War and World War I. There will be:
In light of the trees that have recently fallen, this could be a timely presentation to learn the significance of these trees and why many are fighting to preserve them.
The program is from 2 to 4 pm in the Madison Gym.
