Indigenous People’s Day Monday, October 13th 11:30am to 2:30pm Squaxin Park in Olympia, Shelter #4. Limited parking available Consider walking, biking or taking the free Intercity Transit shuttle from the East side of the Farmer’s Market. It leaves every 30 minutes starting at 11:00am

Olympia Unitarian Universalist Congregation Annual Used Books and Beans Sale ($ earned goes to benevolent causes) Friday October 24th and Saturday October 25th 9:00am to 4:00pm November 2nd 2:00pm at Mills and Mills 5725 Littlerock Rd SW. Tumwater 98512

Day of Remembrance in honor of those who died while experiencing homelessness, those whose remains were unclaimed at the coroners office and persons who committed suicide. The afternoon of November 23rd

Interfaith Works Resetting Our Sacred Table Event Theme: Building Community in This Time of Polarization Potluck dinner afterward. Location to be announced. Note: Participants will need a reservation this year.

Current Needs:
  • Volunteer Training for Interfaith Works Cold Weather Shelter Support Every 2nd Saturday at 10:00am to 1:00pm Interfaith Works Admin Offices in the basement of the United Churches Walk-ins welcome
  • New Interfaith Works Permanent Supportive Housing Residents need “move-in” welcome baskets. Consider donating: twin sheets, non-coverlet blankets, bathroom toiletries, towels, face cloths, bath mats, table lamps, small dish sets (for use in microwave) power surge strips. Drop off at Sergio’s, 3501 Mary Elder Road NE, Olympia, WA 98506 Tuesday-Friday 10am to 6:00pm
